Job Description: Business Unit Manager with specific expertise in Rail Transportation opportunity working on high profile Rail project throughout the US. This is an opportunity to showcase your skills on some very interesting and challenging projects.

As a Business Unit Manager you'll have Financial Management responsibility to review all activities, costs and forecasts to determine the units progress toward specific, pre-determined goals and objectives. Further, you'll have Project Management responsibilities which include coaching and mentoring staff.

You'll also have some Business Development and Marketing responsibilities which include analyzing economic conditions and business trends within the market. There is also a strong Client Management role requiring the ability to build and maintain relationships with your clients.

Flexibility on where you can live including; St. Paul, MN, Washington, DC, Columbus, OH, suburbs of Chicago, IL, or San Francisco, CA.

Here's what you will need
A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Planning, Economic and/or Science and 10 years of experience in Rail planning and development. This should include at least 7 years in a management role. A preference for some experience working for rail companies. Additionally must be able to quickly develop working knowledge of project financial management software (BST) preferred.
